WKF Ranking Kata CH – mit 2 Top-Ten Platzierungen

2021, anlässlich den Olympischen Spiele, beschrieb die WKF Kata (Foto: WM Kairo Finale. Lau Mo Sheung-Grace links, Ono Maho rechts) wie folgt:

Kata, in Japanese, means «form». In Karate terms, Kata is the practice of performing sequences of specific Karate moves targeting a virtual opponent. The main elements of Kata follow.

1-The ultimate goal of the Kata is to be able to be completely focused on the representation of the movements yet perform the sequences with great mastery, speed, precision, power, and fluidity.

2- Kata is not a dance or theatrical performance. It must adhere to the sport’s traditional values and principles. It must be realistic in fighting terms and display concentration, power, and potential impact in its techniques. 3-Kata Karate is performed on an 8×8 metre tatami. 4-Participants can choose to perform any of the 102 Katas approved by the WKF. 5-All Kata begin and end with a bow, or “Rei”, a testament to the sport’s values of respect and tradition.

WKF-Ranking (Punkte) Top-6 CH-Karatekas
Eine herausragende Top-Ten Platzierung erreichten Lila Ritz (7-U18) und Corsin Dion (7-U16). Nolan Schedel findet sich (18-U18) in den Top-20. Unter den Top-32 klassieren sich Yuki Ujihara (24-Elite) und Leandro Petrone (31-U21). Die Top-64 erreichten drei Karatekas, die Top-100 fünf Karatekas.

Switzerland-based PH karateka Lanyfer Minano made her Team Pilipinas debut as part of women’s kata team in the SEA Games. Official Statement – Lanyfer Miñano Begins a New International Chapter. After more than ten years of outstanding service to Swiss karate, Lanyfer Miñano officially closes her chapter with the Swiss National Team and begins a new international journey with the Philippine National Team. This decision was not based on nationality or a flag, but on personal and human experiences. As in professional life, athletes sometimes do not leave because of the work itself — but because of how they are treated. This step marks a conscious choice for dignity, growth and personal development.
